Interior ceilings of bare, primed, or previously painted drywall, concrete, plaster, and wood surfaces.

PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS

Thinning:
Dilute with not more than 5% water

Surface Preparation:
Concrete Surfaces
A. New Concrete:
• New concrete and cement plastered surfaces must be thoroughly cured for 28 days before painting, having a moisture content of less than 15% and a pH below 9.
• Remove concrete laitance and other impurities.
• Thoroughly clean the surface and ensure that it is dry, free from oil, grease, loose materials, and other possible contaminants.

B. Previously Painted Concrete:
• Thoroughly clean the surface and ensure that it is dry, free from oil grease, loose materials, and other possible contaminants.
• If the surface is powdery and chalky, scrub and clean with water before applying one coat of DAVIES® Liquid Tile® Penetrating Sealer.
• For mildew and molds, treat with 1 part liquid bleach and 3 parts water solution. Rinse with water and allow the surface to dry before painting.

Wood Surfaces
A. New Wood Surfaces:
• All areas to be painted must be dry and free of dirt, dust, grease, oil, and other contaminants.
• Sand wood surfaces until smooth to the touch and no slivers or rough edges remain. Dust off completely, then wipe with a clean rag.

B. Previously Painted Wood
• All areas to be painted must be dry and free of dirt, dust, grease, oil, and other contaminants.
• If the existing paint is sound and shows normal chalking, sand lightly and wipe surface dust.
• If the existing paint is cracked, alligatored peeling, or in generally poor condition, completely remove paint film by scraping, wire brushing or sanding.

Painting System

A. Drywall
Option 1
Primer/Sealer and Topcoat: Apply two (2) coats of DAVIES® CP-1 Kis-a-Me Ceiling Paint

Option 2:
Primer/Sealer: Apply one (1) coat of DAVIES® 1360 Interior Primer & Sealer
Topcoat: Apply two (2) coats of DAVIES® CP-1 Kis-a-Me Ceiling Paint

B. Masonry
Primer/Sealer: Apply one (1) coat of DAVIES® 1350 Megacryl® Concrete Primer & Sealer
Topcoat: Apply two (2) coats of DAVIES® CP-1 Kis-a-Me Ceiling Paint

C. Wood
Primer/Sealer: Apply one (1) coat of DAVIES® 1300 Megacryl® Wood Primer
Topcoat: Apply two (2) coats of DAVIES® CP-1 Kis-a-Me Ceiling Paint

Recoating Interval: 2-3 hours

Drying Time: 1 hour depending on weather condition

Clean-Up: Clean water

STORAGE AND HANDLING

• Keep container closed when not in use.
• Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated space.
• Do not transfer contents to other containers for storage.
• In case of spillage absorb with inert materials such as sand.
