Glazing Putty
DAVIES® Prolux® Glazing Putty is formulated to seal or fill wood surface imperfections such as crevices, joints, dents, and nail holes. It applies smoothly and can easily be sanded with excellent adhesion to both the primer and finish coats.

Surface Preparation:
A. New Surfaces
• All areas to be painted must be dry and free of dirt, dust, grease, oil, and other contaminants.
• Sand wood surfaces until smooth to the touch and no slivers or rough edges remain. Dust off completely, then wipe with a clean rag.
B. Previously Painted Surfaces
• All areas to be painted must be dry and free of dirt, dust, grease, oil, and other contaminants.
• If the existing paint is sound and shows normal chalking, sand lightly and wipe surface dust.
• If the existing paint is cracked, alligatored peeling, or in generally poor condition, completely remove paint film by scraping, wire brushing, or sanding.
Painting System:
Primer/Sealer: Apply one (1) coat of DAVIES® 1360 Interior Wood Primer & Sealer
Putty: As needed, apply DAVIES® 1000 Pro-Lux® Glazing Putty
Primer/Sealer: Apply one (1) coat of DAVIES® 1360 Interior Wood Primer & Sealer on puttied surface.
Topcoat: Apply two (2) coats of either DAVIES® 300 Flat Wall Enamel®, DAVIES® Gloss-It Quick Drying Enamel Topcoat or DAVIES® 600 Interior Semi-gloss Enamel®
Drying Time:
4 hours; Sand after overnight drying
Clean-Up: DAVIES® 40 Paint Thinner
STORAGE AND HANDLING
• Keep container closed when not in use.
• Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated space.
• Do not transfer contents to other containers for storage.
• In case of spillage absorb with inert materials such as sand.
